Srinagar, May 31 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday took a swipe at opposition leaders over speculation surrounding the meeting he has convened with National Conference legislators, saying those making the most noise are the ones who know the least about the discussions.
In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, CM Omar wrote, “I love how the people who know the least about the meeting I’ve called with my MLAs are talking the most. Remember one thing – those who know don’t speak & those who speak sit in the opposition.” He concluded the post with a smiling emoji.
The remarks came amid political discussions over the purpose of the meeting called by the Chief Minister with NC legislators.
Earlier, Leader of Opposition Sunil Kumar Sharma had claimed that Omar Abdullah would not resign from any position, even if Jammu and Kashmir’s status was reduced further, alleging that the National Conference leadership was more concerned about retaining power and protocol than constitutional status.
Omar Abdullah’s latest remarks are being seen as a direct response to opposition criticism and speculation regarding the agenda of the proposed meeting with party legislators. (JKNS)
