Budgam, Jun 11 (JKNS): Paras Health, in collaboration with Aagaaz International, successfully organized a Free Medical Camp at PM Government High School near Sumo Stand, Arizal, Khansahib, Budgam, with the aim of providing quality healthcare services and specialist medical consultations to the local community.

The camp witnessed an overwhelming response from residents of Arizal and adjoining areas, with more than 200 patients benefiting from various healthcare services.

A team of experienced specialists from Paras Health provided consultations in Orthopaedics, General Medicine, Ophthalmology, and Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

Participants also availed themselves of free health services, including blood pressure screening, random blood sugar testing, SpO₂ monitoring, general medical examinations, and expert medical advice. The camp also focused on promoting health awareness and preventive healthcare practices among the local population.

Notably, this was the first medical camp of its kind organized in the Arizal area, where access to specialized healthcare services remains limited. The initiative enabled women, elderly citizens, and young people to receive expert medical consultations and treatment within their own locality.

Local residents appreciated the efforts of Paras Health and Aagaaz International, stating that such welfare initiatives are highly beneficial for people living in remote and underserved areas. Many beneficiaries expressed hope that similar healthcare programmes would continue in the future.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of Aagaaz International, Shezaan Rasool, said that the organization has been actively engaged in social welfare and community development activities for the past seven years, with a significant expansion of its outreach efforts during the last five years.

He said that during visits to schools and interactions with local residents, the organization realized that no dedicated initiative was addressing the healthcare needs of the people in the area. He noted that many residents lack access to qualified doctors, while several health issues—particularly those affecting women and young girls—often remain unattended due to inadequate healthcare facilities and limited availability of advanced medical services and essential medicines.

Shezaan Rasool further stated that the region is predominantly inhabited by tribal and economically disadvantaged communities, many of whom cannot afford expensive medical treatment or travel long distances to access healthcare services. He expressed gratitude to Paras Health for extending its specialist medical services to the area in collaboration with Aagaaz International.

“We believe this initiative is an important step toward improving healthcare accessibility and promoting public health in the region,” he said.

The organizers expressed satisfaction over the enthusiastic participation of the public and reaffirmed their commitment to organizing similar welfare and healthcare programmes in the future. They emphasized that such medical camps play a vital role in early diagnosis, disease prevention, health awareness, and overall community well-being.

The successful conduct of the camp reflects the shared commitment of Paras Health and Aagaaz International to extending quality healthcare services to remote and underserved communities and contributing to the development of a healthier society. (JKNS)
