Kulgam, July 14 (JKNS): Intensifying its crackdown on unlawful activities under the ongoing 100-Day Campaign, Kulgam Police have attached two residential properties worth around ₹1 crore in Yaripora, belonging to two accused in a 2021 NDPS case involving the recovery of 200 kg of Fukki, reaffirming its resolve to target the proceeds of crime and strengthen the rule of law.

As per news agency JKNS, Police have attached immovable properties worth approximately ₹1 crore in District Kulgam as part of sustained efforts to curb unlawful activities and dismantle the infrastructure supporting such offences.

The action was carried out by Police Station Yaripora under the directions of the SSP Kulgam. The attached properties comprise two residential houses belonging to Javid Ahmad Dar S/o Bashir Ahmad Dar and Parvez Ahmad Dar S/o Bashir Ahmad Dar, both residents of Kujjar. The properties have been attached in accordance with the relevant provisions of law pursuant to the orders of the competent authority.

The accused are involved in FIR No. 10/2021 of Police Station Yaripora, in which 200 kg of Fukki was recovered from their possession.

The attachment reflects the firm commitment of Jammu and Kashmir Police to ensure that the proceeds of crime and properties linked to unlawful activities are dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.

Kulgam Police reiterated its resolve to maintain peace, uphold the rule of law, and take stringent action against individuals involved in activities prejudicial to public order and the security of the Union Territory.

The general public has been urged to cooperate with the police and continue sharing information regarding any unlawful activities in their respective areas so that collective efforts towards maintaining peace and security can be further strengthened. (JKNS)
