Baramulla Administration Issues Monsoon Emergency Contact Directory, Urges Public to Stay Alert

Baramulla, July 20 (JKNS): In view of the ongoing monsoon and the possibility of heavy rainfall, floods and landslides, the District Administration Baramulla has issued a comprehensive Monsoon Emergency Contact Directory to facilitate prompt response during emergencies.

According to the advisory, a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, residents have been urged to keep the emergency contact numbers readily available and immediately contact the concerned officers in case of any weather-related emergency.

The administration has advised the public to contact the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) on 01952-234343 or 7006493646, while the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) can be reached by dialling 112.

The contact directory also includes mobile numbers of the Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs), Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) and Tehsildars across Baramulla district to ensure swift coordination and timely assistance during any emergency.

The District Administration has appealed to people, particularly those living in flood-prone, landslide-prone and vulnerable areas, to remain vigilant, follow official advisories and immediately report any emergency through the designated helpline numbers.

The advisory has been issued in public interest as part of the district administration’s preparedness measures during the ongoing monsoon season.

The administration has advised the public to contact the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) on 01952-234343 or 7006493646, while the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) can be reached by dialling 112. People may also contact ADC Baramulla: 7006240038, ADC Sopore: 9596004411, and ACR Baramulla: 7006577533. The Sub-Divisional Magistrates can be contacted at SDM Uri: 9570880103, SDM Pattan: 9419052012, and SDM Gulmarg: 7006076689.
