Karnah, Aug 2 (JKNS): Since the appointment of Bashir Shah as Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti & Flood Control, the department’s performance in Sub-Division Karnah has witnessed significant improvement. Local residents say that under his leadership, effective measures have been taken to ensure the supply of safe drinking water and to expedite the implementation of various developmental schemes, creating a sense of satisfaction among the public.
Over the past several months, many natural springs in the area have either dried up or experienced a significant decline in water discharge, resulting in an acute shortage of drinking water for residents. Despite these challenges, Executive Engineer Bashir Shah, along with his team, has worked tirelessly to provide safe drinking water to the affected areas through alternative arrangements and has taken several practical initiatives to improve water supply.
Residents further stated that work on several water supply schemes has gained momentum under his supervision, while a number of long-pending projects have also been revived. They noted that Bashir Shah regularly monitors the progress of developmental works and remains accessible to the public, making sincere efforts to address their grievances and resolve issues in a timely manner.
The local community expressed hope that the Jal Shakti & Flood Control Department will continue to work with the same dedication in the future to ensure the availability of safe and clean drinking water in every village of Karnah.
