Sopore, Aug 24 (JKNS): Security forces recovered a cache of arms and explosive material during a joint search operation in the Manzseer area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday.
A senior police official told news agency JKNS that the operation was conducted by SOG Sopore in coordination with 52 Rashtriya Rifles, CRPF 177 Battalion and CRPF 179 Battalion in the jurisdiction of Police Station Tarzoo.
During the search, the forces recovered one AK-47 rifle, three magazines, 72 rounds of ammunition, four hand grenades and one improvised explosive device (IED) from an abandoned house.
