Beerwah, September 8: A Legal Awareness Programme was organised today at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Beerwah, to mark Legal Literacy Day. The programme aimed to educate students about their legal rights, duties, and the importance of constitutional values in everyday life.

The keynote speaker, Advocate Naseer Ahmad Khan, addressed the gathering and emphasized that legal literacy is essential for creating an informed and responsible society. He encouraged students to understand their fundamental rights and responsibilities and to respect the rule of law.

Advocate Khan said that awareness of legal provisions empowers citizens to protect their rights, make informed decisions, and contribute positively to society. He also urged students to stay away from social evils, remain law-abiding citizens, and play a constructive role in nation-building.

The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who raised several questions related to legal rights and responsibilities. The speaker responded to their queries and encouraged them to seek accurate legal guidance whenever required.

The school administration appreciated the initiative, stating that such awareness programmes help students develop legal consciousness, civic responsibility, and confidence. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming the commitment to promoting legal awareness among the youth.
