Srinagar, Oct 10 (JKNS): The Department of Psychology at Government College for Women, M.A. Road, Srinagar, on Saturday celebrated World Mental Health Day 2026, concluding a week-long programme aimed at promoting mental health awareness, emotional well-being and a supportive campus environment.
As per news agency JKNS, The Department of Psychology, Government College for Women, M.A. Road, Srinagar, celebrated World Mental Health Day on 10th October 2026, marking the culmination of a week-long programme dedicated to mental health awareness and emotional well-being.
The celebration featured inspiring speeches, Rouf, mime, poetry, open mic, Qawali, a skit, and video messages from the Principal and faculty members of the Department. Creative stalls, games, art, and food counters added vibrancy to the event, encouraging student participation and interaction.
The programme highlighted the importance of empathy, self-expression, and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, reinforcing the need to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive campus where everyone feels heard and valued. (JKNS)
