A meeting of the Presbyters at Cobb Hall , Voorhees College

A meeting of the Presbyters / Pastors of Churches stretching from Bernicepuram to Bagayam and Churches from Sathuvachari to Shenbakkam was conducted at Cobb Hall , Voorhees College. Vellore on 4.4.2020 at 12 noon.
The Rt. Rev. H. Sharma Nithiyanandham had called the Presbyters as per the District Collector’s advisory. The Collector presided over the meeting. The meeting was attended by the District Superintendent of Police, Joint Director of Medical Services, Dy. Director of Health Services, R. D. O., Police officials , and Govt. Officials.
The Collector spoke at length about the awareness of COVID 19 and prevention of the same as the spread of the virus is creating unprecedented crisis globally. He underlined the importance of social distancing, hand washing, complying to the lock down and cooperation to the government authorities.
The Bishop had explained the steps taken by the CSI Diocese of Vellore and the strict enforcement of all the regulation of the Central and state governments. He appreciated the Collector, Police Department, Health Department and Revenue and corporation staff for their tireless and selfless service as they fight as front line personnel in combating the spread of this pandemic. He assured all cooperation from the church administration. He requested the collector and police officials to be more stringent and punish the offenders. He gave packets of Masks to the collector to be used by the officials and thanked them for this meeting.
All the senior pastors and the Vice President Rev. Dr. Isaac Kadhirvelu participated. The College officers made good arrangements taking social distancing into consideration.
