Kupwara, April 13(JKNS): In a commendable initiative to strengthen civil-military relations, the Indian Army’s 2 Rajputana Rifles, Lone Haray Company, organized a vibrant painting competition at Primary School Dardpora-B.

The event, held under the Army’s civic action programme, aimed at fostering positive engagement with the local community, particularly young students. A total of 40 students from the school participated enthusiastically, showcasing their creativity and artistic skills.

The children created colorful and expressive artworks on themes such as national unity, natural beauty, patriotism, and the valor of Indian soldiers. Their imagination and dedication left a lasting impression on all those present.

The Company Commander of Lone Haray Company presided over the event, encouraging the students to pursue their dreams and excel in life. Following the competition, winners and outstanding participants were awarded prizes and mementos. All 40 students received gifts and stationery items as a token of encouragement.

The school’s headmaster and teaching staff appreciated the Army’s efforts, highlighting the positive impact of such initiatives on young minds.

Speaking on the occasion, Army officials stated that the Indian Army has always stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the local population in times of need. They added that Lone Haray Company regularly organizes educational, health, and cultural programmes in the region to strengthen trust, harmony, and goodwill between the Army and civilians.

The event concluded with appreciation from students, parents, and villagers, who lauded the inspiring and community-focused initiative by the 2 Rajputana Rifles.(JKNS)
