DD Council Chairman Anantnag holds introductory meeting with officers Pledges to usher in new era of development in the district

ANANTNAG, APRIL 24: The District Development Council (DDC) Chairman Anantnag, Mohammad Yousuf Gorsi along with other members today held an introductory cum interactive meeting with district and sectoral officers at Dak Bungalow Khanabal here.

The ADDC, Bashir Ahmad Wani, CPO, Mukhtar Ahmad, GM DIC, Peerzada Zahoor, ACD, Nisar Ahmad, CMO, Dr. Mukhtar, Ex. Engineers of R&B, PHE, PDD and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.

While holding an interaction with the officers, the chairman said that people have a lot of expectations from the council vis-à-vis development and prosperity of the district and sought cooperation of line departments to fulfill the same. He also pledged to work and priortise the things from the grassroots for smooth implementation of developmental and welfare schemes.

Gorsi said that they are committed to usher in a new era of development for the district.

On the occasion, ADDC assured full cooperation and support to the council for achieving new heights of development in the district.

He also expressed full commitment for strengthening the Panchayat Raj Institution and empowering the people at grassroots level.

Wani remarked that the DDC members are eyes and ears of Administration and people have reposed faith upon them for embarking the ladder of socioeconomic prosperity and development.

During the proceedings, threadbare discussions were held for working out the ways and methods for ensuring the plans formulated at the local level are culminated smoothly.

The participants put forth their suggestions for ensuring better coordination between the PRI members and the departments besides agreeing to continue such active and interactive sessions for larger public interest.
