Jammu, Apr 15 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Wednesday inaugurated the ‘Reconstruction & Beautification Project of Ziarat Hazrat Peer Baba Panj Peer (R.A)’ at Manda in Jammu.

 

As per news agency JKNS, The inauguration event was held by the Board after completion of the mega infrastructural project involving multi-layer constructions and beautification initiatives taken up by the Board last year.

Waqf Chairperson was accompanied by the Special Officer of the Board Dr Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Administrator Aabid Hussain and other officers and members of civil society. Executive Officer Doda Javed Zargar and Executive Officer Poonch Wajid Khan also attended the event.

Dr Andrabi spoke to the media after the inauguration event and expressed her satisfaction over the completion of this important project.

“Baba Panj Peer Shrine is a very important spiritual destination of Jammu, revered by the people of all faiths. Waqf Board took up this mega project last year and completed it within the fixed timeline, upholding infrastructural standards and quality work,” said Syed Darakhshan.

She said that the Board is encouraged by the positive response from people regarding the developmental initiatives at Sufi shrines across Jammu & Kashmir.

“We feel encouraged to know that people across Jammu & Kashmir are labelling the past four years as an era of historic transformation and development with transparency in Waqf Board. We are enthusiastically moving ahead with our mission of strengthening our spiritual centres and establishing our Sufi centres as ideal places with all facilities and an aesthetically befitting environment,” the Waqf Chairperson said.
