New Delhi, Apr 21 (JKNS): Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Tuesday met Union Minister for Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju in New Delhi and presented a comprehensive overview of the Board’s achievements and future roadmap, highlighting major reforms and transformation in Waqf management across the Union Territory.
As per news agency JKNS, Dr. Andrabi called upon Union Minister for Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju at New Delhi and discussed at length the transformative initiatives of the Board and the future roadmap.
Waqf Chairperson submitted a detailed report of the achievements of the Board during the last financial year and shared the roadmap for future plans and programmes to be taken up during this fiscal year.
Waqf Chairperson highlighted the historic changes and significant projects of the Board which transformed the whole Waqf management structure within J&K, making it the leading Board throughout the country. Union Minister appreciated the work done by the Board and termed it a model system for whole of India.
Kiren Rijiju congratulated Dr Andrabi for her visionary projects and bold decision making. He assured complete support from the Union Ministry to J&K Waqf Board in its future projects and initiatives. (JKNS)
