Kupwara, Apr 24 (JKNS): A comprehensive one-day awareness programme on Road Safety and Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyan was today organized at the Auditorium of BHSS Kupwara, witnessing enthusiastic participation from officers, officials, students, and members of the general public.
The programme was graced by Addtional District Development Commissioner Kupwara (ADDC), Mufti Fareed; ASP , CEO,CPO DEPO Principal GBHSS and other Besides President transport Union members of the Sumo Owners Association,students and the general public, attended the programme.
At the outset, Principal BHSS Kupwara, Reyaz Ahmad Kirmani, welcomed the dignitaries and participants, highlighting the importance of collective awareness and responsible citizenship.
During the programme, Motor Vehicle Inspector, Karan Kumar, delivered a detailed presentation on road safety measures, emphasizing traffic rules, safe driving practices, and adherence to regulations to prevent accidents.
President All Transport Union Kupwara, Mir Showkat, also spoke on the occasion and stressed the role of transporters in ensuring road safety and maintaining disciplined driving practices.
Export from Traffic Police, provided valuable insights into traffic regulations, safety protocols, and the need for public cooperation in maintaining road discipline.
Chief Prosecuting Officer Kupwara, Mohsin Khan, elaborated on various legal provisions related to road safety, highlighting the legal consequences of violations and the importance of abiding by the law.
ASP Kupwara, Shahzada Kabir, addressed the gathering and discussed enforcement mechanisms, safety measures, and the collective responsibility of society in reducing road accidents.
DEPO Mohd Iqbal Shah, administered the pledge under the Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyan and emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to eradicate drug abuse.
CEO Kupwara Manzoor Ahmad Najar, spoke extensively on the twin themes of road safety and a drug-free society, urging all stakeholders to work with dedication and coordination for a safer and healthier community.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment from all participants to uphold road safety norms and actively contribute towards building a drug-free Kupwara.
