Doda, Apr 25 (JKNS): Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Saturday visited Doda and participated in a grand event organised by the Board, where she dedicated the first-ever Multi Utility Sports Stadium cum Recreational Facility to the public and laid the foundation stone for a guest house.

 

As per news agency JKNS, Waqf Board Chairperson Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi visited Doda and took part in a grand event organised by the Board. BJP General Secretary Organization Ashok Koul participated as the Guest of Honor.

 

The eminent civil society members & Waqf Board Officers including Special Officer Dr Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Administrator Jammu Aabid Hussain & the organiser of the event Executive Officer Waqf Board for Doda Hani Javed Zargar were also present.

 

Dr Darakhshan dedicated to public the first ever Multi Utility Sports Stadium cum Recreational Facility by Waqf Board at Doda. Equipped with high quality turf and the recreational gadgets, the facility is one of its kind in whole of J&K.

 

Speaking on the occasion Dr Syed Darakhshan said that Waqf Board is now prioritizing the public welfare initiatives throughout J&K.

 

“This year will be the year of Waqf Board’s developmental vision expansion to the sectors of public welfare. This sports facility opens great opportunities for the locals and we are happy to see the smiles on the faces of the local population”, said Andrabi.

 

She later laid foundation stone for the Guest House to be constructed by the Board in the town. Accompanied by Shri Ashok Koul Ji and others Dr Andrabi deliberated on the Nasha Mukti Abhiyaan initiated by the Board throughout J&K.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Koul hailed the developmental efforts of Waqf Board under the leadership of Dr Andrabi and said that transformation and developmental of the Board in whole of Jammu & Kashmir was historic during the past four years.

 

“It is great to see now the public welfare projects of great importance being dedicated to public by the Board. This shows the committment of the visionary team to utilize the Board’s resources for the public good”, said BJP General Secretary.

 

He appreciated the anti drug campaign started by Dr Andrabi throughout J&K a year ago. “Now when we are celebrating Nasha Mukti Abhiyaan on grand scale, Waqf Board under Dr Andrabi’s leadership is running a very impacful campaign”, said Ashok Koul. (JKNS)
