Srinagar, May 1 (JKNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of four-year-old Mohammad Hanzala from Pulwama, whose body was recovered after days of extensive search operations in Shopian.

As per news agency JKNS, in a post on X, the Office of the J&K LG said, “The tragic passing of young Mohammad Hanzala from Pulwama is heartbreaking. My thoughts are with the grieving family during this time of immense pain. May his soul find everlasting peace, and may his loved ones be granted the strength and comfort they need to endure this profound loss.”

Earlier today, the body of the minor, who had gone missing after slipping into the Rambiara stream in Shopian, was recovered on Friday morning after several days of relentless search efforts.

The child, a resident of Pulwama, had accidentally fallen into the fast-flowing stream near the Dubjan area on April 27, triggering a massive multi-agency rescue operation involving police, SDRF, and other teams. (JKNS)
