Srinagar, May 5 (JKNS): Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Tuesday accused the National Conference (NC) led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah of misleading people during elections by using “emotional narratives” around Articles 370 and 35A.
Speaking to media persons, as per news agency JKNS, Bukhari alleged that the NC secured votes by making promises that were not fulfilled. “In the recent elections, people were influenced through emotional appeal over Article 370 and 35A. They promised one lakh jobs, 200 units of free electricity, and an increase of 10 kg ration per person, but none of it was true,” he said.
He further alleged that regional parties have often targeted Delhi to gain political mileage. “Delhi needs Jammu and Kashmir, but respect for our youth and elders is equally important. We want a system where dignity is ensured,” he said.
Bukhari maintained that his party’s politics is based on honesty and transparency. “Apni Party believes in truth and does not mislead people,” he added. (JKNS)
