Srinagar, May 13 (JKNS): Mohammad Ashraf Malik has expressed concern over the alleged NEET 2026 paper leak, saying the future of more than 22 lakh students has been affected due to repeated controversies surrounding competitive examinations.

In a statement, Malik alleged that examination-related material was circulated on social media platforms, including WhatsApp, ahead of the examination, raising questions over the transparency and credibility of the national-level test.

He said lakhs of students spend months preparing for competitive examinations with dedication, hard work and the support of their families, and such incidents create anxiety and uncertainty among aspirants.

“Students work tirelessly day and night with hopes of building their future. It is important that their trust in the examination system remains protected and the process stays fair and transparent,” Malik said.

He further stated that repeated reports of paper leak incidents in recent years have caused concern among students and parents, and stressed the need for stronger safeguards to ensure credibility in examinations.

Calling for accountability and reforms in the examination process, Malik urged the authorities to take all necessary measures to ensure transparency and fairness so that deserving students do not face unnecessary hardship.

He also said that students’ concerns should be addressed sincerely and assured that their issues would continue to be raised at appropriate forums. (JKNS)
