Pampore, May 21 (JKNS): Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board, Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Thursday said that the young boys and girls of Jammu and Kashmir possess tremendous sports talent and are increasingly making their mark at national and international levels.
Many students in boys and girls categories from whole of the district are participating in the Championship.
Dr Andrabi kick-started the Championship and inaugurated the first level of tournaments in the school.
She interacted with the participating students, the coaches and teachers. Andrabi addressed the event and congratulated the participating young players. In her address, Dr Darakhshan said that it was pleasing to see the sports spirit among our young students which assures us of their bright future in sports sector in future.
“Young boys & girls of J&K are having great sports talent. After the Prime Minister’s Khelo India mission, and it’s implementation in Jammu and Kashmir, our boys and girls have excelled in different sports categories at National and International levels. The sports structure by hhas really got a big boost in J&K during the past many years under Khelo India mission”, Dr Darakhshan.
Waqf Chairperson appreciated the sports infrastructure of the school and peaised the school administration for developing a holistic high-tech infrastructure in the campus. (JKNS)
