Srinagar, May 23 (JKNS): The Srikula Foundation on Saturday officially announced the third edition of the Kashmir Literature Festival (KLF), setting the stage for one of Jammu and Kashmir’s biggest cultural and literary events, bringing together renowned authors, diplomats, artists, scholars and public figures from across India and abroad.

The announcement was made at a press briefing held near Dal Lake in Srinagar, attended by media representatives from across Jammu & Kashmir.

Naira Manzoor, Assistant Director of the Festival, along with Phillip Naithram and Musaddiq Reyaz, addressed the media on the ethos, essence, and vision of KLF 2026 — and why an event of this scale matters deeply in a place like Srinagar and the broader Jammu & Kashmir region.

A Festival Beyond Literature

Now in its third edition scheduled on May 30 and 31, the Kashmir Literature Festival has grown into a landmark cultural event that extends well beyond the written word. KLF hosts book launches, cover launches, panel discussions, subject-based debates, and dialogues, alongside karaoke, open mic sessions, storytelling, poetry, and a celebration of food and craft. The festival operates under the conviction that literature is one expression of a far wider civilizational culture — and that Jammu & Kashmir deserves a platform that honors that culture in its full breadth.

Distinguished Speakers Confirmed

KLF 2026 will bring together an exceptional gathering of literary figures, thinkers, diplomats, and public servants. Confirmed attendees include Mrs Neerja Mattoo, Prof Khurshid Andrabi, Prof Amitabh Mattoo, Lt Gen Raj Shukla, Ambassador Deepak Vohra, and artist Rouble Nagi, among others.

The festival will also feature senior bureaucrats and diplomatic representatives, scholars, authors and entrepreneurs, reinforcing KLF’s position as a platform where intellectual rigor meets the highest levels of public and civic life.

Partners and Supporters

The Kashmir Literature Festival gratefully acknowledges the continued support of the District Government and the UT Administration of Jammu & Kashmir. KLF 2026 is proud to count among its valued partners: Rising Kashmir, JIO News, Pausecast, BIG FM, Qafilla-e-Mohabbat, SMART, CRL Diagnostics, Rampage Media, and a growing list of partners to be announced.

The Vision

“If we inspire five people to write for the very first time, that is a good enough definition of success,” the team shared. “Everyone who attends the festival goes back with some value addition when they leave the venue.”

At its core, KLF exists to celebrate what Kashmir has always been — a place of poetry, learning, dialogue, and civilizational depth. The festival is free and open to all who value knowledge and culture.

About the Kashmir Literature Festival

The Kashmir Literature Festival (KLF) is a global festival organized by the Srikula Foundation under the leadership of Yuvraj Srivastava. Now in its third edition, KLF is held annually in Srinagar and brings together writers, poets, scholars, diplomats, and thinkers from across India and the world to celebrate the literary and cultural heritage of Jammu & Kashmir.
