Pulwama, May 31 (JKNS): A minor was killed while his father sustained injuries after they were allegedly hit by an unknown Tata Mobile vehicle in a hit-and-run incident at Arihal area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the victims were shifted to District Hospital Pulwama following the accident.
The injured has been identified as Altaf Ahmed Shergojri, son of Gulzar Ahmed Shergojri, aged about 30 years and a resident of Arihal, who sustained head injuries in the incident.
The deceased has been identified as Eeman Altaf, son of Altaf Ahmed Shergojri and a resident of Arihal, who also suffered serious head trauma.
Doctors at District Hospital Pulwama declared Eeman Altaf brought dead on arrival, while Altaf Ahmed was admitted for treatment and remains under observation, officials said.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and launched an investigation into the matter. (JKNS)
