DG SSB Visits in 10 BN SSB, Srinagar, J&K, and Flags Off Bullet Resistance Vehicles

Srinagar, June 5 (JKNS): In a significant boost to operational preparedness and mobility of security forces in Jammu and Kashmir, Director General of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Sanjay Singhal, IPS, on Friday flagged off a fleet of 26 bullet-resistant vehicles during his visit to 10 Battalion SSB Srinagar, while also reviewing security arrangements and interacting with personnel deployed for SANJY-2026 duties.

 

As per news agency JKNS, Sanjay Singhal, IPS, Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), visited 10 BN SSB Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. During his visit, Sh. Imtiaz Ismail parray, DIG SHQ Srinagar, Dr. G. V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, SSP Srinagar, other state police officers, Comdts, and Adhoc Comdts of SSB Units were present.

 

As part of the visit, the DG ceremonially flagged off a fleet of a total of 26 bullet resistance (BR) vehicles (02 Marksman and 04 MVBP vehicles for each Unit 02 BN, 10 BN, 13 BN, 14 BN and 02 Marksman for SHQ). Induction of these vehicles aimed at enhancing mobility and operational efficiency for SSB units operating in challenging situations in J&K.

 

Addressing the gathering of officers and Jawans, the DG highlighted the critical role of modern vehicle assets in improving operational readiness and safe movement. He reiterated the Government’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art resources and infrastructure to security forces.

 

The visit concluded at NIT Hazaratbal, Srinagar, where DG SSB interacted with officers and SOs deployed in Srinagar and Ganderbal districts for SANJY-2026 duty. The DG expressed confidence in the force’s ability to continue its duties with dedication and excellence in safeguarding national interests during SANJY-2026 duty. (JKNS)
