Civil Defence Volunteers Lead Humanitarian Effort During 8th Muharram Procession in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jun 24 (JKNS): Civil Defence Srinagar on Wednesday launched a special humanitarian assistance initiative during the 8th Muharram-ul-Haram procession by establishing a First Aid and Refreshment Camp at M.A. Road, Lal Chowk, providing medical assistance, drinking water and refreshments to mourners and members of the general public participating in the procession.

 

As per news agency JKNS, On the directions of Deputy Controller Civil Defence Srinagar, Amaara Naseem (KPS), Civil Defence Srinagar organized a special First Aid and Refreshment Camp at M.A. Road, Lal Chowk, Srinagar, on the occasion of 8th Muharram-ul-Haram.

The camp was established to provide first aid assistance, drinking water, and refreshments to mourners and the general public participating in the Muharram procession.

Director Civil Defence, & SDRF Kashmir-Srinager Shri Imtiyaz Hussain, visited the camp and appreciated the dedication, discipline, and humanitarian services being rendered by the Wardens and Volunteers of Civil Defence Srinagar.

The camp was managed under the supervision SI(M) Kaisar Ahamd along with all staff members and Divisional Warden Civil Defence Srinagar and TOT Kashmir, Shri Rahi Riyaz Ahmed, along with a team of 30 Civil Defence volunteers, who remained on duty throughout the day to ensure timely assistance and support to the public.

The initiative reflects the commitment of Civil Defence Srinagar towards community service and public welfare during important religious and social events. (JKNS)
