Srinagar, June 26 (JKNS): In a major community healthcare initiative, the Hasnain Foundation, in collaboration with the Dilkash Dramatic Club, organised a free medical camp at Alamgari Bazar in Srinagar on Friday, providing free consultations, health screenings and medical guidance to hundreds of residents.

The medical camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from people of all age groups, including senior citizens, women and children, who availed themselves of free health check-ups and expert medical consultations.

The initiative aimed to make quality healthcare accessible to people, particularly those with limited access to medical facilities. A team of qualified doctors conducted general health examinations, monitored blood pressure and blood sugar levels, prescribed medicines where required, and educated the public about preventive healthcare and healthy lifestyle practices.

Speaking on the occasion, Hasnain Foundation President Zahoor Ahmad Bhat said the organisation remains committed to serving society through humanitarian and welfare initiatives. He said access to healthcare is a fundamental right and such medical camps help ensure timely medical assistance to the underprivileged.

He added that the Foundation plans to organise similar healthcare camps in different parts of Kashmir in the coming months to extend medical services to more communities.

Dilkash Dramatic Club President Nazir Ahmad Mukhdoomi appreciated the overwhelming response from the public and highlighted the importance of collaboration between social and cultural organisations in addressing public welfare issues. He also thanked the doctors, volunteers and members of the Hasnain Foundation for their contribution towards the successful conduct of the camp.

Local residents welcomed the initiative and described the medical camp as a valuable service for the community. Many beneficiaries expressed hope that such programmes would be organised regularly to improve access to free healthcare services.

The organisers reiterated their commitment to working jointly for the welfare of society through initiatives in healthcare, education, social awareness and community development. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to the doctors, volunteers and all those who contributed to the successful organisation of the free medical camp. (JKNS)
