“Gupkar Gang Echoing Pakistan’s Narrative, Terror and Talks Cannot Go Together”: Tarun Chugh

New Delhi, July 1 (JKNS): BJP National General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Chugh on Wednesday strongly criticised the appeal by several political leaders seeking the restoration of dialogue with Pakistan, alleging that such statements echo Islamabad’s narrative and undermine India’s national interest.

As per news agency JKNS, Chugh strongly condemned the appeal made by Farooq Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Manoj Jha, Humayun Kabir and Mani Shankar Aiyar seeking the restoration of dialogue with Pakistan, saying that such voices only strengthen Pakistan’s propaganda while undermining India’s national interest.

Tarun Chugh said it is deeply unfortunate that certain political leaders in India continue to advocate Pakistan’s agenda while conveniently ignoring decades of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism that has claimed thousands of innocent Indian lives and the sacrifices of our brave security forces.

Chugh said the so-called Gupkar Gang and its ideological allies have repeatedly attempted to create moral equivalence between the victim and the perpetrator, even as Pakistan continues to shelter, finance and export terrorism into India.

“India’s position is crystal clear. Terror and talks cannot go together. There can be no question of normal bilateral dialogue until Pakistan completely dismantles the terrorist infrastructure operating from its soil, ends cross-border terrorism and infiltration, and takes credible, verifiable action against terror networks,” Chugh said.

He said those advocating dialogue should first answer the families of the victims of Mumbai, Pathankot, Uri, Pulwama, Pahalgam and countless other Pakistan-sponsored terrorist attacks instead of seeking to whitewash Pakistan’s conduct.

Chugh asserted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India follows a policy of Zero Tolerance towards Terrorism. India’s sovereignty, national security and the safety of its citizens are non-negotiable and cannot be compromised for the sake of misplaced political messaging.

He added that India will continue to expose Pakistan-sponsored terrorism before the international community and urged political leaders to stand firmly with the nation instead of amplifying narratives that serve Pakistan’s interests. (JKNS)
