Budgam, July 20 (JKNS): In view of the prevailing weather conditions and to strengthen disaster response, the Municipal Council Budgam has established a 24×7 Emergency Disaster Management Preparedness and Response Unit to provide immediate assistance during emergencies.
According to details available with news agency JKNS, Nissar Ahmad Shahbaz, In-Charge Secretary of the Municipal Council, has been designated as the Nodal Officer for emergency response. He can be contacted round the clock at 7889732372.
The Municipal Council has also issued contact numbers of key officials for public assistance. These include Shabir Ahmad Khan (Junior Assistant): 7006597484, Shabir Hussain Mir (Sanitation Supervisor): 9599063602, Shabir Hussain Bhat (Tax Collector): 9622222092, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan (Driver/In-Charge Transport Section): 6006116884, and Bashir Ahmad Kuttay (Electrician): 9149449124. All the designated officials will remain available 24×7 to respond to emergencies.
The Municipal Council has appealed to residents to immediately contact the designated officials in case of any emergency arising from heavy rainfall, waterlogging, flooding, or any other disaster-related situation. (JKNS)
