15,000 Devotees Attend 548th Urs of Hazrat Makhdoom Sahib at Tujar Sharief

Sopore, Aug 9 (JKNS): The 548th Urs-e-Pak of Mehboob-ul-Aalam Hazrat Makhdoom Sahib was observed with religious fervour at Peth Astaan, Tujar Sharief, Sopore, with around 15,000 devotees from across Kashmir participating in the annual congregation.

The Urs-e-Pak commenced on 13 Safar-ul-Muzaffar and will continue till 25 Safar-ul-Muzaffar, marking 13 days of religious observances at the revered shrine, as per details available with news agency JKNS.

On the occasion, several sacred Tabarukaat were displayed for devotees, including the Holy Quran, Kamar Band Sharief, Qulah-e-Mubarak (Topi), Tasbeeh Dana and Kanga Sharief. Devotees from different parts of Kashmir visited the shrine to pay their respects and seek blessings.

 

Moulvi Peer Gh Nabi Shuloora of Kupwara also participated in the religious proceedings and appreciated the arrangements and facilities made for devotees.

 

SSP Sopore Shri Iftkhar Talib-JKPS also visited the Ziyarat Sharief and took stock of the arrangements and security measures put in place for the congregation.

 

Speaking to the media, Peerzada Mohammad Sultan Makhdoomi, Chairman of the Awqaaf Committee, Peth Astaan Tujar Sharief, expressed gratitude to the Sopore Police and civil administration for ensuring smooth arrangements during the Urs.

 

He particularly appreciated SSP Sopore Shri Iftkhar Talib-JKPS, SDPO Sopore Mohammad Rafi and SHO Bomai Zia-ur-Rehman for effective traffic management, security and other facilities provided to the devotees.

 

Peerzada Mohammad Sultan Makhdoomi said that SHO Bomai Zia-ur-Rehman had remained in regular contact with the Awqaaf Committee during the past week and had personally visited the shrine several times to review traffic management and other arrangements.

 

He also expressed gratitude to Tehsildar Zaingair Bomai Zahid Rasheed (KAS) for his cooperation and support in ensuring smooth arrangements for the devotees.

 

The congregation concluded peacefully, with coordinated efforts by the police, civil administration, Awqaaf Committee and local volunteers helping manage the large gathering. (JKNS)
