Five IPS Officers Relieved from Delhi for J&K Posting

New Delhi, Aug 14 (JKNS): The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi has ordered the relieving of several IPS and DANIPS officers from the GNCTD/Delhi Police for their transfer to various Union Territories, including Jammu & Kashmir, with effect from August 17, 2026.

The order has been issued in pursuance of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, orders No. 14020/04/2022-UTS.I dated July 9, 2026, and No. 14020/01/2026-UTS-II dated July 9, 2026, as per the news agency JKNS, Vishnu Kumar, IPS (2019), Rajeev Kumar Ambasta, IPS, Deepak Yadav, IPS, Anand Kumar Mishra, IPS, and Satish Kumar, IPS have been relieved from Delhi for posting to Jammu & Kashmir.

The officers have been relieved to enable them to join their respective new assignments.

Besides the officers posted to Jammu & Kashmir, several other IPS officers have been allocated to different segments of the AGMUT cadre. Pratiksha Godara, IPS (2011), has been posted to Andaman & Nicobar, while Vinit Kumar, IPS (2018), has been posted to Chandigarh.

Rishi Kumar, IPS (2021), has been posted to Arunachal Pradesh, Pawan Kumar, IPS, to Ladakh, Sikandar Singh, IPS, to Puducherry, and Dhirendra Pratap Singh, IPS, Nishant Gupta, IPS, and Amit Kaushik, IPS, to Mizoram.

Patel Aalap Manshukh, IPS, has been posted to Lakshadweep.

Among DANIPS officers, Patil Swagat Rajkumar has been posted to Chandigarh, Neeraj Kumar to DNHDD, Kailash Singh Bisht to Lakshadweep and Satendra Mohan Meena to Chandigarh.

The order was issued by Ram (Ramesh Kumar), Deputy Secretary (Home), Government of NCT of Delhi, and is dated August 14, 2026.

The officers posted to Jammu & Kashmir are required to join their new assignments following their relieving from Delhi with effect from August 17, 2026. (JKNS)
