Srinagar, Aug 23 (JKNS): More than 250 patients were screened during a free eye screening camp organised at Learning Wings, Aloosa, Bandipora, on Sunday.

The camp was organised by Chinar Uphar Foundation (NGO) in association with ASG Eye Hospitals, sponsored by Galaxy India, A True Deal and powered by Learning Wings, with support from social activist Sajad Bhat.
A team of medical professionals conducted comprehensive eye examinations and provided free consultations to the participants. Following the screening, 32 patients were referred for further treatment and specialised medical care.
Speaking on the occasion, Altaf Bhat, President, Chinar Uphar Foundation, and Advocate Saika Rashid, Vice President, Chinar Uphar Foundation, emphasised the importance of regular eye check-ups and early detection of vision-related problems.
Social activist Sajad Bhat appreciated the collective efforts of the organisers, medical team, volunteers and Learning Wings, and stressed the need for continued community participation in healthcare and social welfare initiatives.
The organisers said the camp was part of their efforts to promote accessible healthcare and contribute towards Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3, which focuses on Good Health and Well-being. (JKNS)
