New Delhi, Aug 23 (JKNS): Renowned journalist and Editor-in-Chief of Daily Headlines Today, Jahangir Bukhari, was conferred an honorary doctorate at a prestigious ceremony held in New Delhi in recognition of his contributions to journalism, media and social service.
The honour was presented by the World Cultural and Educational Organisation, described as an organisation associated with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The honorary doctorate recognises Bukhari’s long-standing journalistic career, contributions to the media sector, efforts to highlight issues of public importance and commitment to social service.
Jahangir Bukhari has been associated with journalism for several years and has played an active role in highlighting issues concerning public welfare, social challenges and matters of importance to society.
As Editor-in-Chief of Daily Headlines Today, he currently leads the newspaper’s editorial and public-interest initiatives.

Those conferred honorary doctorates included renowned cinematographer Vindu Dara Singh, Tihar Jail Superintendent Ajay Bhatia, shot-put gold medallist Dr Richa Sood and Yogesh Rana.
