Kathua, Sept 11 (JKNS): Two persons were killed and three others injured after a Baleno car met with a major accident at Sarthal Mode in Bani tehsil of Kathua district on Friday, officials said.
Officials told news agency JKNS that initially, one person identified as Monika, wife of Suveer Kotwal, 29, a resident of Dandi Bhaderwah, died in the accident.
Later, Balwant Kotwal, son of Bajnath Kotwal, 61, also a resident of Dandi Bhaderwah, who was injured in the accident, succumbed to his injuries, taking the death toll to two.
All three injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further proceedings are underway. (JKNS)
