Government Must Act on Long-Pending Demands of NHM Employees: Sajid Yousuf Shah
FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

Srinagar, Sept 15 (JKNS): BJP Media Incharge Kashmir Adv. Sajid Yousuf Shah backs NHM employees, asks Government to resolve the issue. The ongoing protest by National Health Mission (NHM) employees across Jammu & Kashmir requires the immediate attention of the Government, which must come forward with a concrete and time bound response to the long-pending grievances of the NHM workforce.

NHM employees have made a sustained contribution to J&K’s healthcare system and have continued to serve people at the grassroots level, including during challenging circumstances. Their concerns relating to job security and regularisation, remuneration, equal pay for equal work and social-security benefits deserve serious consideration.

The Government should not allow the present impasse to continue indefinitely. It must engage directly with representatives of NHM employees, examine their demands within the applicable policy and financial framework, and place before them a clear roadmap and defined timeline for addressing their legitimate concerns.

Healthcare workers who have dedicated years to public service deserve dignity, security and clarity regarding their professional future.

The need of the hour is decisive engagement rather than continued delay. J&K Health Minister must demonstrate that it is prepared to listen to NHM employees and work towards a fair, transparent and sustainable resolution of their grievances. (JKNS)
