Srinagar, Apr 25 (JKNS): Dr Vinod Kumar (IPS) on Saturday assumed charge as Deputy Inspector General of Police, North Kashmir Range (NKR) at Range Police Headquarters Baramulla.
He takes over from Maqsood-ul-Zaman (IPS), who has been posted as DIG Armed Police Kashmir, as per news agency JKNS.
Upon assuming office, the DIG emphasized his commitment towards dedicated, transparent and corruption-free policing, highlighting the importance of strengthening public trust in the police.
He also expressed confidence in further improving police-public relations and ensuring peace and law & order across the North Kashmir Range. (JKNS)
