Shopian, Apr 29 (JKNS): In a tragic incident, an engineer lost his life while two others sustained injuries after a boiler explosion at Fruit Mandi Aglar in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday evening, triggering panic in the area.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS stated that three engineers were carrying out repair work on a steamer/boiler at the mandi when it suddenly exploded, leaving all of them critically injured on the spot.
The injured were immediately rushed to District Hospital Shopian for treatment, where one of them, identified as Saurabh Singh, a resident of Aligarh, succumbed to his injuries.
The other two injured have been identified as Dileep Kumar and Ram Kumar, both residents of Aligarh, and are undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation to ascertain the cause of the blast. (JKNS)
