Srinagar, Nov 11 (JKNS): National Conference candidate Aga Syed Mehmood on Tuesday said he is confident that Budgam voters will strengthen the party’s legacy, asserting that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s outreach has positively influenced public sentiment.
While speaking to reporters after voting, Mehmood as per news agency JKNS said, “We are hopeful the results will be good. The Chief Minister himself came and spoke with people, and that has made a good impact.”
He added that Budgam voters have “gathered under one flag” and are voting for a cause. “We are confident NC’s legacy will continue in Budgam,” he said.
On whether Rahullah’s absence from campaigning would affect the party’s performance, Mehmood said, “The effect will be known only after the results. Nothing can be said for now. After the 14th, things will be clear.”
Appealing to young voters, he said, “Youth must come forward and contribute to Budgam and its change. The Chief Minister has also assured that youth-related issues will be addressed.” (JKNS)
