Pulwama, Apr 19 (JKNS): A two-year-old boy died after drowning in a stream near his residence in Mitrigam area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama on Sunday.

An official told news agency JKNS, the deceased has been identified as Salim Inayat, son of Inayat Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Mitrigam.

The minor accidentally fell into a nearby stream, following which he was immediately taken to District Hospital Pulwama for treatment, official said.

However, doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead on arrival.

Cognozance of the incident has been taken and further proceedings have been initiated in this regard. (JKNS)
